Standards Manual Summary

The Tyre & Rim Association of Australia Standards Manual includes the following sections:

  • General Information definitions, measuring procedures, load index & speed symbols.
  • Passenger Car Tyres markings, selection criteria, inflation considerations, load capacity, tyre data for tyres from 80 Series to 30 Series profiles, and temporary spare tyres.
  • Truck & Bus Tyres markings, selection criteria, load limits at various speeds and surfaces, tyre data for light truck, and truck & bus in tubeless and tube type tyres, and mining & logging tyres used in intermittent highway service.
  • Off  The Road Tyres - markings, selection criteria, tyre data for grader, earthmoving & logging, loader, mobile crane, industrial, and compactor.
  • Agricultural Tyres markings, selection criteria, tyre data for agricultural tractor, industrial tractor, combine harvester, high clearance sprayer, log skidder, and agricultural implement.
  • Industrial Tyres markings, selection criteria, tyre data for counterbalanced lift truck, industrial & mining, utility & garden tractor, highway trailer and skid steer.
  • For Solid Tyres, tyre data for counterbalanced lift truck, and industrial truck & trailer applications.
  • Rim Section contour symbols, selection, rims profiles and data for passenger car, light truck, truck & bus (tubeless or tube type), off the road, agricultural, industrial, and motorcycle.
